Solar System – Planets Animation (9/16/2025)
Planets Version 1
This initial version was created by following the textbook’s tutorial with a little extra research to make the planets’ orbits roughly match their actual orbital speed.
Planets Final
This is the final version of my planets animation. I made the following changes to add some extra flare to the animation:
I added textures to the planets and the sun. Textures were found at this website.

I used Maya’s MASH framework to create an asteroid belt in between Mars and Jupiter. The MASH framework allowed me to take one asteroid I created and make 1000 copies of it, each with randomly adjusted attributes and positions.

Finally, I animated the movements of the planets to all collapse into the sun by the end of the animation. I keyed the planet’s position as well as their size in order to first get them into the sun and then shrink them down so that they weren’t visible when the sun shrunk down at the end of the animation. I animated the flash of the sun’s glow by keying the Emission attribute of the material I used to make the sun.

Treasure Chest Modeling – 9/30/2025

For this project, I modeled a treasure chest in 3D after this reference image.

This is my final result after modeling the structure in 3D and applying textures.
Model Photos

I rendered the treasure chest in a square room with one window in the wall. For some of the screenshots, I added an additional window to get more light for some of the smaller details.

I created the plate of donuts by following a popular Blender tutorial on YouTube.
I got my stone and metal textures from poliigon.com
I got the wood texture from https://freepbr.com/product/streaky-plywood-pbr-material/
